A survey of 1,033 Winnebago County residents on their concerns about the environment was done in 2004. This 105 page document is available for your review and consideration. We observe that the majority of respondents were quite concerned with the direction of the environment. It would be fair to assume that three years hence, with all the publicity about global warming and actual environmental crisis taking place, that a new survey would find the level of concern considerably higher - and probably a higher response rate to the number survey's mailed out.
